Milky white porcelain is artfully decorated with blue glazing in our classic looking Nativity scene. Using a blue and white color palette for porcelain has a long history. As far back as the 9th century, artisans in China were using blue and white for china and porcelain. Later in the 16th century in the Delft region of The Netherlands, the blue and white color scheme was used for the classic blue and white Delft pottery.
This nativity stands 7 inches tall and includes the Holy Family, three Wisemen, Gloria Angel, sheep and camels.
