The Fontanini Nativity story of Naamah: Naamah was a kind and gentile girl who loved the stray cats and dogs she passed each day on her way to the well for water. She always carried a water jug and small bowl so that any animal she might encounter could receive a welcome cool drink. Neemah was watched over by angel Celia, who made sure that Neemah's water jug never went dry, always having water for her family no matter how many stray animals she tended on her way home. One day a friend told Neemah fantastic stories - of a shining star, of angels, of a Savior's birth in a stable. Her friend was known for tall tales, but Neemah believed in her heart that these stories were true. She went to the stable, her loyal cats and dogs at her side, but worried that her animals might disturb the young Child. But the stable was filled with great peace and calm, and the love of God for all creatures.
