A handmade, fair trade Yeti Nativity from Nepal! The Yeti is a mythical creature said to inhabit the mountainous Himalayan region of Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. And in this nativity set, even mythical creatures pay homage to the King of Kings!

Handmade felt components are created and assembled by skilled Nepalese artisans working in a fair trade production center in Kathmandu, Nepal. Made with sustainably harvested materials including wool, hemp for the hanging cord and a bamboo perch. Excess water from production is drained into a neighboring garden for growing food. Artisans use 100% natural wool and non-toxic, azo-free dyes. Wool scraps are recycled into new products. Three pieces included. The stable measures 10" h x 7" w x 5" d and Mary (holding the infant Jesus) and Joseph each measure 4" tall. Our Yeti nativity is displayed outdoors on top of a planter and, if you choose to do the same, the stable can be used as a birdhouse. There is a small hole for small birds, and the bottom opens for easy cleaning. Wool is water repellent, and also naturally dirt and mold resistant. But, if you don't want the wrens and chickadees moving in to the nativity scene, just display it indoors!

This Nativity set was acquired through a Fair Trade organization. Fair trade pays impoverished artisans a fair price for their work and puts people first, not profits.
