Description
This sweet little masapán nativity scene will not take up a lot of space on your mantle, but it just might in your heart. Masapán (pronounced MAH-ze-pahn) is bread dough and is traditionally used in Ecuador by local artisans. This product is entirely made by hand in small villages, and there can be variation in the end product.
This Masapán Nativity comes to us from a Fair Trade organization that works directly with the artisans, putting people before profits.

A nativity scene the size of a matchbox.
If this nativity scene were 3 millimeters smaller and the matchbox 3 millimeters larger, they would fit perfectly. Despite its small size, the set makes you feel happy. I don't have comparison, but my nativity scene (the colors of the figurines, their shape and arrangement in the stable) is different from the one shown in the photos on the store's website. It's very likely that each set is one of a kind.
