The Fontanini Nativity Story of Ruth: Ruth was excited when her brother-in-law brought a basket of wheat - it meant that they would have fresh wheat bread for their meal that day, instead of the barley bread they ate every day. She set to work at her baking, and when the dough rose, she saw there was enough for three full loaves. As she set the loaves into the over, her friend passed by, and told Ruth of a baby boy that had been born in a stable in Bethlehem. When the breads were baked a golden brown, Ruth took one to the Family, a gift of the grain that had been given to her.
